Gokyo (4750m) consists of a few lodges next to Dudh Pokhari, the beautiful blue third Gokyo Lake, with Cho Oyu (8201m) dominating the view at the end of the valley. I stayed at the very comfortable Gokyo Resort in 2000. The resort has a very good general store with many books and maps, and a nice sunroom.
